Gavel meticulously crafted in the USA. When developing this gavel my objective was to create a gavel that was exceptionally beautiful and of the highest possible quality and material integrity. A gavel that was far more sensorial and appealing than any other gavel. The wood components are turned with extreme care from genuine cocobolo rosewood (scientific name dalbergia retusa) which I chose for its incredibly rich color and its hardness. (not a cheaper wood claiming to be rosewood or «rosewood finish») The cocobolo is finished with a polish that will not chip or flake off like the polymer finishes found on most gavels. The metal components are integral parts of the gavel precisely machined from solid brass then polished before being plated with jewelry quality gold plating. (no cheap wrap around metal bands) What the photos can’t convey is the tactile nature of this gavel. The dense cocobolo and solid brass combine to create a gavel heavier that others with the polished precision feel of the metal and smooth satin texture of the wood. The overall dimensions of the gavel are 10-1/2″ x 3-1/4″ x 2″
